Word of the Week: Worship

Worship is the word of the week, and worship is WORK!  I had the privilege of leading the musical portion of our worship this past Sunday.  It was a great joy, and it was a ton of work.  In addition to the Thursday night practice (a little more than an hour), we had a Sunday morning run through as well.  Then of course, we played during the service itself.  I found myself wanting to practice several times that week to get ready, and I don’t think I’m the only musician at GCC who does that.

So thank you to Karen Sawyer and the GCC worship team.  Worship is central to our life together, and you do it well.  It is obvious that you all are more than musicians - you are also lead worshippers.  You are diligent workers, too.  Thanks for the hard work that goes into the word of the week: worship.
