The word of the week is “bustle.” Merriam-Webster defines it “to move briskly and often ostentatiously”.  I believe many of you are hustling and bustling.  Vacation is over.  No more beach or lake days left!  Children are returning to school.  Young adults are returning to college.  Your life is speeding up.  You are “moving briskly.”

That is true around the GCC office now, too.  August 24 is kick off for Foundations, our 9:15 discipleship hour on Sundays.  Crossroads is gearing up.  Volunteers are being recruited.  On August 24 we aim to make it easy for you to connect to community and plug into service at Fall Charge Up.

Vacation is great.  The slower pace has been welcome.  We are made for purpose, and we are made for work, even before sin came into the world.  It feels good to see bustle going on!  I’m looking forward to seeing everybody back at once very soon!  I pray the bustle won’t take away the peace of Christ for you. It is giving me some excitement and anticipation!
