Word of the Week: Thanks

The word of the week has to be “thanks,” right? It’s thanksgiving week. We are supposed to be thankful. Thursday football will, without fail, have sad stories about those much less fortunate than us. It’s designed to make us thankful, and perhaps, to feel a bit guilty. Let us remember the one to whom all thanks is to be given! Our Father is the source of every good gift in our lives.  All of us have things in our lives for which we feel grateful.  Spend some time this week speaking to God aloud, writing to God in your journal, or speaking about God to other. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. (James 1:16-17, ESV)
