Word of the Week

Word of the week: Bustle

Suddenly, everything is bustling!  The streets are full of school buses, the University is packed with students, and the schedule is packed with things to do. Some of you are done with students in your houses, but you are teachers so the schedule has ramped up considerably. That’s true here at GCC as well. We are back to two services and weekly Foundations classes, and there is quite a bustle.

In the bustle, we need to find time for quiet. We need to carve out some time and a place where we are alone with God, enjoying God, crying out to God for mercy. That can be tricky. The work is worth the benefit. If its been a while since you’ve found that quiet in your soul. Get back in the practice of some carved out time for reading the bible and prayer that renews your soul. Don’t let the bustle kill your inner life.

2 "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation."

3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

4 And you will say in that day: "Give thanks to the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted. (Isa. 12:2-4 ESV)

In Him,
