Word of the Week

Word of the Week: Scattered

I’ve never been a farmer, but I observe farm animals in two possible states (among others). Sometimes they are let out in the pasture and they are scattered about, seeking shade, water and a cool spot. Other times they are gathered and perhaps in a barn for a time.

Summer is a time when the flock at Grace is scattered! People are seeking recreation, visiting family, and generally just enjoying a different season. Families with school aged children are enjoying time together in ways they can’t during the school year. More than any summer in my memory, Grace has been scattered. More of us are traveling every week than in any time in our history. Caron and I were gone two Sundays in Africa and were on vacation one week - so we missed some of you then.

But the last few weeks of summer break are ahead of us, and soon we will be back together! Foundations starts back up, and we will gather again. I’ve missed seeing you, and I’m looking forward to having many of God’s flock in one place at one time! This fall, for the first time in years, we will be all together in one service at 9:30. I’m excited about being gathered back together. It will feel like a family reunion! I hope to see you all very soon!

In Him,

Don
