Word of the Week

Word of the Week:  Meetings

This week is all about meetings.  Last Saturday the elders of the church met for 6 1/2 hours of long range planning glory.  It was a great meeting, but we were all exhausted and ready to get out of there.  I think it was a superb time and can’t wait to keep working on it.  We have so much more work to do, and one of the things we know we need to do better is keep you in the loop on things.  We spent a lot of time on your feedback and that is shaping our thinking about the future.  I think you will see the influence of your specific feedback.  Some of you will hear our end products and think, “Hey, I told them to work on that!”

Then, (whew), Tag, Tom and I are going to the PCA General Assembly in Mobile, Alabama.  It is our annual denominational meeting.  This year I just had to go because racial issues are the biggest topic on our plate.  We are coming to terms with sad and sinful realities of our past, and looking forward to a different and more beautiful future.  I’m sure any of the three of us would be glad to explain all of it afterwards.

After that, I’ll be away for some down time and refreshment, but I look forward to being back in July and the exciting work which is ahead for us all!

In Him,

Don
