Word of the Week: Changes

After this Sunday, there will be some changes!  We will go back to one service at 10:30 the first Sunday in June.  Until late August, there will be no Communion Service or Foundations classes.  In August, I fully expect to see GCC return to two services and Foundations each week for the August 2016-May 2017 time frame.  The elders will be evaluating the worship format we had for the last nine weeks and will make whatever tweaks to the plan they think is wise.  You’ve had a chance to give us your feedback through the member survey you filled out recently.

I love the summer schedule at GCC.  It gives our volunteers a chance to take a break, and Sundays in the summer are sweet.  The schedule is less full, and the fellowship is great after the service.  A lot of our members travel during the summer, so I miss seeing people sometimes.  But for those present, I think it feels more relaxed and enjoyable.  In this case, changes are a good thing, right?

So don’t forget: one more week of 8:30 Communion Service, 9:40 Foundations, and 10:45 Worship…and then it changes. Only one time to remember this summer - 10:30 Corporate Public Worship!
