Word of the Week: Wow!

Easter is usually a pretty good day, but for whatever reasons this past one goes down as especially memorable.  It was fun to have a choir lead us in a great new worship song.  It was inspiring to sing both old Easter hymns as well as the more recent classic, In Christ Alone. It was encouraging to think about the life of Peter and how he was an example of the transformation he described in 1 Peter 1:3-5.  I was blessed to deliver the message from a new pulpit made by several of the members of our church.  It is both mobile and substantial! It was great to see old friends return, and make some new friends with guests, including one of my own neighbors.  It seemed as if God was with us in a unique way.  Take a moment to reread the Sunday’s passage this week and be reminded of the transforming power of God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ!
