Word of the Week: Easter

Easter! What does it mean to you? What memories does it bring? On the less eternal side, I think of our two young children in matching dresses. Too cute! I remember the good times when my oldest helped her toddler sister find the eggs, resisting the temptation to hoard them all! Not every time did it go that well. I remember sunrise Easter services that were very cold!

I remember Tony and Cathy, who friends invited to our church in Ohio for Easter. They came, I met them, and I didn’t see them until the next year when they came on their own. They started coming weekly and made their public professions of faith in Christ in the months after that second visit.

Don’t forget the possibilities of the day of resurrection! Don’t make it just about you and your loved ones, but make sure friends and neighbors are invited to learn a bit more about our faith!
