Word of the Week: Disruptions

Life seems a bit disrupted lately!  There is the amazingly intense, if short-lived winter.  This disrupted the Japan Missions dessert at the Wards’ home -  it is now Friday, March 13 @ 7:30 PM at our house.  Can you make it?  Let me know: dward@cvillegrace.org

Then the calendar rolled on and daylight saving time came.  I expected to see only a few of your sleep-deprived faces on Sunday morning.  Instead, many of you showed up to worship God and fellowship together.  Personally I got to work with one of our young people as she hammered out her testimony and wrestled with the challenges of stepping forward in Christ for herself.   In our corporate prayer time several of you led us, including two of our children. Worship was not at all sleep-deprived! We were treated to our children rapping out the Apostles’ Creed and then singing the Gloria Patria, which I had heard as a child nearly every Sunday at the end of the pastor’s prayer.  I left the parking lot thinking about a number of things that happened that reminded me that God doesn’t sleep in, even on that Sunday when we all want to!

If you did sleep in, all is forgiven.  We have a number of full weeks with many encouraging things happening each week in the spring.  I hope to see you next week at Grace!
