Word of the Week:  Joy

We had ten new family members stand up at GCC on Sunday.  It brings me joy.  Their names are Bob and Betty Arms, Claire Flores, Brian and Hyunju McDonald, John and Sonia Montgomery, Florence Pinkston, and Bruce and Karel Seger.  Each of them had a story to tell us - the story of God’s grace in their lives.  For some it was a story that began in childhood when their parents spoke of Jesus before they were able to respond.  For others their belief in Christ started in adulthood with no religious upbringing.  Two of them are children of our church making their profession of faith in Christ.  Ten different souls.  Ten different stories.  Ten different set of gifts for our church.  Joy!
