Disruption

Over a foot of snow is beautiful, magical, and a huge disruption. Countless meaningful activities were planned at GCC this past weekend, and we are only one of many, many churches in the area. Several small groups were volunteering at Spring Hill Baptist for PACEM on Monday (a ministry to the homeless that uses church buildings and other facilities for housing during the winter months). All of that had to be moved around and plans changed in an instant. Many of you have children at home that you planned to have in school this week. I had not planned to look at my driveway so much over the past few days. Four times we cleared it, and I went out today to improve upon my path to my street. What a disruption!

What we may never know is why God disrupted our plans. Yes, disruptions and interruptions can be much more than we think:

Then coming to the borders of Mysia, they headed north for the province of Bithynia, but again the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them to go there.

(Act 16:7 NLT)

What? The Holy Spirit stopped a missionary? He disrupted his plans! Keep your eyes open. The Lord is up to something. What is it? Will we miss it?

In Him,

Don
