Word of the Week

Word of the Week: Well spent

Honestly, Monday morning this week I was wiped out! We had an amazing couple of days at Grace. Saturday morning, we hosted 52 men from Grace and other local churches to talk about Christian unity in a racially charged present day. There were some terrific, honest conversations and some great encouragements to love one another with the love of Christ. One of our newest attenders ran into a man he knew from work years ago. He had often encouraged this man to consider Jesus Christ. He came to the breakfast and saw his former co-worker - now a believer in Jesus and active member of Emmanuel Christian Center! Many thanks to Don Price and other members of our men’s ministry for their hard work!

Sunday morning, we added Foundations back to the mix, and stayed for a church meeting - a review of where we are and where we are heading. Then the weekend finished with a flourish - we hosted the Greene County Ministerial Association 2018 Martin Luther King, Jr. service. It was the best attended service since we’ve hosted, the largest offering in the organization’s history, and some of the greatest fellowship we’ve had afterwards!

So, I ended the weekend spent. But, I was, and we were, well spent! Thank you Lord for your great love and mercy!
