This past Sunday was a mix of joy and sadness.  Many of our vacationing members were back, and the church was full with worship in full voice.  That was joyous!  I feel blessed to have such talented worship leaders and musicians.  We had beautiful worship under Gina Tuck’s leadership last week, only to be blessed again to have Karen Sawyer back leading a very full team.  Great hymns and songs…a full heart.

But then we had to say goodbye and pray over Scott and Sara (and Lizzie) Dyck and Donna Battenfield.  Scott and Sara have been with us for a while, and they were involved with a small group and worship team.  Sara was our administrative assistant for several years.  They are moving to Chicago for family and work purposes.  Scott continues to advance in his work with US Airways/American Airlines.  No surprise there!

Donna and Charles Battenfield joined us several years ago and are both near and dear to my heart.  Charles is waiting to greet us in glory when our number is called!  Donna has been active in the GALS small group and will be missed as she moves to the Nashville TN area to be near her son Paul.

Who knows what is in store this week at Grace?
